2-Piece cans

2-Piece Cans consists of two components; a can body integrated with bottom lid and a lid which can be “normal end”, “easy open end”. Our formation method of the can body processing is classified to be DRD cans or Drawn cans (Draw and Redraw cans: DRD cans) and DWI or DI cans (Draw and Wall ironed cans) which the cans from both methods will be considerably applied with either clear or gold internal lacquer as per customer’s need. The external lacquer can also be offered in both lithograph and plain lacquers; clear and gold.

2-Piece Cans are:

Hermetically sealed container is designed to keep the food packed inside fresh in taste, colour and be fully commercial sterility which is required a thermal processing (retort) before consuming.
To pack the instant food that is not required for a thermal processing before consuming.

3-Piece cans

3-Piece Cans consists of a can body with a top and bottom end. The can body is produced by forming a flat rectangular blank into a cylinder and welding the two edges of the formed blank by the electrical mechanical pressure. Welding area of cylindrical can bodies will be coated internally and externally with lacquer. Following stations could be beading process (beaded cans if needed), necking process (necking of thin wall cylindrical can bodies for stacking purpose if needed) and the last station is to always attach the ends, whether it is easy open ends or normal ends, to the can body.

Normal Ends

Shell Ends or Normal Ends is stamped directly from metal coil or metal sheet (cut from coil). No matter from coil or sheet, the metal is fed in the forming machine to get the round profile. After removal from forming machine, the edge of shell ends will be slightly curled to ease the seaming operation when closing with empty cans. The curled shell ends will be then passed through compound lining machine to apply a liquid lining compound inside the curl. The compound is one of an important part in the hermetical seal process to the filled cans.

Easy open ends & Spoon open ends

EOE or Easy Open ends is innovation of normal end by making a scoring (only partially cutting through the shell ends) and attaching the metal tab for easy opening.

Normal ends and EOE are attached with 2-Piece and 3-Piece Cans.

Spoon of ends is innovation of normal end by making a scoring (only partially cutting through the shell ends) and the profile can be opened easily by a spoon. This product is patented by Royal Can.

Peel off ends (Quik peel)

POE or Quikpeel Ends, it is the latest innovation of metal end. It starts at the same process as Normal Ends making and cut in the middle of the end, making the safety curl, sealing and embossing with the aluminium foil. This type of product is suitable for children, women and elder people.

• POE is attached with 2-Piece and 3-Piece Cans. This product can be suitable for both retortable and non-retortable processes.

Royal Can Industries Co., Ltd. offers a service of pilot plant that welcome for any entrepreneur who is interested to pack or develop their new products in both cans and pouchs.
Our service are ;
1) Packing the foods into cans or pouch.
2) Thermal Processing Service
We offer a thermal processing service for hermetically sealed container such as cans, pouches, glass bottles. Which are able to support the customers either Sterilization or Pasteurization thermal process in one basket’s retort and our retort is capable to apply with both Stream system and Water Spray system.

Coating/ Printing service

With a high technological automatic 6-colour printing from Royal Can Industries, our quality has been notable to packaging in domestic and international. We offer our services of metal coating, printing and also we are gladly open for any customer who needs an advice for your packaging product design

Corrugated carton box

To be one stop packaging service RCI also provides the corrugated carton boxes in many sizes.
